Vice President of Sales - IT Consulting/Services - $260,000 - $300,000 base salary range with commission and benefits with equity potential.

Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing IT Consulting company that specializes in providing next-generation technology solutions to their clients. As a series A funded company, this client is well-positioned for expansion and are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President of Sales to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth.
The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the company's sales strategy, driving revenue growth, and expanding client base. This role will involve leading a high-performing sales team, establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives and growth targets.
  2. Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and effectively managing the sales pipeline.
  3. Team Leadership: Build and lead a results-oriented sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and motivation to maximize individual and team performance.
  4. Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  5. Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, and utilize this information to refine the sales strategy.
  6. Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Develop accurate sales forecasts and regularly report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  7. Collaboration and Communication: Foster collaboration and effective communication with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, and Finance, to ensure a coordinated approach towards achieving sales objectives.
  8. Sales Process Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize the sales process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  9. Industry Networking: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, building networks and promoting the company's brand and offerings.
  10. Sales Team Development: Provide ongoing training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to the sales team to enhance their skills and capabilities.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven track record of success in a senior sales leadership role, preferably within the IT consulting industry.
  • Experience in managing and growing a high-performing sales team.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales strategies, techniques, and best practices.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive informed decision-making.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships at the executive level.
