Senior Java Developer - 9 month Contract - €80-€90 per hour - Utrecht, NL

Our client, a leading Financial Services organisation, are currently hiring for a Senior Java Developer to design, build, test, manage, and document applications, functionalities, and APIs, ensuring optimal use of our financial services for all customers. You will utilize a CMS, microservices, a CI/CD platform, and open-source software.

As a backend developer, your task involves upgrading our CMS system to make it entirely future-proof. This entails upgrading Java, JBoss, and the underlying infrastructure. Our client have a generic backend layer, and they will undertake this process iteratively and agilely for the different brands.

You will collaborate closely with around nine enthusiastic, T-shaped colleagues, including backend and frontend developers, an information analyst, digital marketer, designer, and product owner.

There is also close collaboration with the team in India, consisting of five developers, a test expert, and a scrum master. You and your colleagues share knowledge and experiences, making time to assist each other.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Java developer in a complex environment.
• Extensive Core Java experience, such as (lead) developer, including experience with Java migration projects and maintaining/phasing out legacy systems.
• In-depth knowledge of the Spring framework, Maven, and JBoss.
• Experience with XperienCentral (CMS) is a significant advantage.
• Good oral and written proficiency in Dutch.

Hours - 36 hours per week, Monday-Friday

This is a remote role with the expectation to meet in person in Utrecht once every 2 weeks and in Den Bosch once every 2 weeks, with regular remote work.
