Job description

Our client, a global leading telecommunications company, is currently hiring for a Systems Designer (UI/UX). You will join an international team of 20 members, including developers, designers, and experts in accessibility and eco-design. In this role, you will help create a system that places a strong emphasis on accessibility and eco-design at its core.

Responsibilities

  • Design high-quality and reusable UI components, patterns, and tokens that meet the needs of products from different cultures and geographic areas.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure components are technically feasible, accessible, and optimized for performance.
  • Ensure the design system is accessible, responsive, and eco-designed.
  • Participate in the writing of the design documentation.
  • Audit and evaluate the existing design elements and components across all platforms to identify inconsistencies and areas for improvement.
  • Organize regular meetups, workshops, and webinars to engage with design teams globally, share updates, and gather feedback on the design system.
  • Collaborate with other team members to create training programs and materials to onboard new designers to the design system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field - Desirable
  • At least 5 years of experience in UI/UX design.
  • A proven track record of creating and maintaining design systems.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in design systems, UI/UX design.
  • Excellent proficiency in prototyping with Figma and being able to create extended components, styles and variables along with mastering Figma plug-ins.
  • Understanding of development tools on the web with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for design implementation as well as IOS Guidelines, Material 3.

This is a full time, hybrid, permanent position working Monday-Friday. You will be required to go into the office (near Paddington) 2-3 days a week.
