Job description

Our client, a well known organisation in the travel industry, is currently hiring for an Operational Impacts and Community Engagement Lead, to lead the delivery of engagement with local community stakeholders on key operational impacts, in particular noise and airspace change.



Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic advice across the business on all external messaging, engagement, and communication activities related to local operational impacts, to ensure all external messaging on the topics is accurate, accessible, and consistent across all stakeholder groups.
  • Oversee and manage the operational delivery of the noise complaints helpdesk, managing its day-to-day effectiveness, working closely with other teams to ensure we always provide first class customer service, and overseeing the external consultants responsible.
  • Set the communications strategy for company's Noise Insulation Scheme and oversee its delivery, working closely with internal colleagues and external agencies. Monitor and review its effectiveness.
  • Represent the company at stakeholder meetings and forums to talk confidently and knowledgeably about the company's local operational impacts, future airspace changes as well as the current noise management regime.


Requirements

  • Experience of implementing sound engagement and communications strategies on challenging, technical and sensitive topics
  • Strong capability and experience of building and maintaining relationships with a network of challenging stakeholders
  • Good understanding of the Government's plan to modernise the UK airspace, as well as knowledge of the CAA's Airspace Change Process (Desirable)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and a demonstrable ability to simplify complex issues accurately, and write inclusively for all stakeholders


This is a full time, permanent position working Monday-Friday on a hybrid basis.
