Our client, an international Machinery Manufacturing company, is currently hiring for an Senior Legal Counsel to be responsible for providing legal and compliance support to the UK and Ireland operations. You will be responsible for the delivery of legal, regulatory and compliance services. You will operate as a key business partner to provide strategic support and advice, working on a wide range of commercial and compliance matters.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, reviewing and supporting negotiations of a number of contracts including industry standard construction type contracts and distribution and channel terms and conditions
• Providing distribution and channel antitrust and competition regulatory advice
• Preparing templates
• Proactively identify, define, and mitigate risks by contributing to and implementing policies and procedures.
• Managing claims and litigation
• Helping to ensure compliance with applicable laws and Group policies.

Requirements

• A fully qualified lawyer authorized to practice in the UK or Ireland with a Master/Bachelor of Laws degree or equivalent and at least 5 years' relevant PQE in commercial law
• Worked in an international company and has a proven track record operating in an inhouse environment
• Work proactively and closely with the business stakeholders, to identify and analyse critical commercial and legal issues
• Apply legal expertise to deliver solutions

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday-Friday. This is a hybrid role working 2/3 days from the office and 2/3 days from home. They have 13 offices in the UK and you can be based near any of them, across the UK.
