Job description

Our client is a worldwide market leader in Test, Measurement and Monitoring Products, is currently recruiting for a Service Technician to join their growing team in cologne-Germany and works closely with colleagues in Customer Support, Application Support and Sales to provide fast and high-quality support to our client customers in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Responsibilities

  • Service Technician tasks and Back-up for Team Lead
  • In-house repair of measurement instruments (board and part level)
  • In-house calibration of measurement instruments (automated and manually)
  • Comply to the company Quality Management per ISO 17025 accreditation
  • Prepare and issue calibration protocols
  • Enter and update service information in service system
  • Spoken and written interaction with customers to give support and provide solutions
  • Maintain and control calibration equipment for on-site and in-house calibrations
  • Assists with and or applies individual and group root cause analysis, participates in the development of or proposes potential solutions, serves as role model for the Team to implement strategies
  • Ability to effectively communicate with associates and colleagues
  • Participates as a key source in the development of productivity tools and processes
  • Provides training and guidance to other team members
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Self-motivated, driven and flexible, able to motivate others

Requirements

  • Skilled technician or engineer (Electronic / Electrical Engineering / Computer)
  • At least 5 years practical experience as a service technician
  • Enhanced skills in electronics and IT
  • Enhanced skills in software (MS Windows, MS Office, MetCAL optional)
  • Professional communication skills (spoken and written)
  • Professional language skills in German and English (fluent spoken and written)
  • Organization and Time-Management

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday.
