Job description

Our client, an IT and Audio-Visual solution provider based in Basingstoke, are currently hiring an IT Service Desk Support Technician to provide 1st line support to their users.

Responsibilities

  • Providing support in the form of remote technologies, telephone and email
  • Providing support for desktops, laptops, printers and network equipment
  • Logging calls accurately in a call logging system, troubleshooting and escalating accordingly
  • Liaise with 2nd line and 3rd party support teams to resolve calls

Requirements

  • Previous IT knowledge - familiar with printer configuration, email troubleshooting and using VPNs is desirable
  • Previous experience of fixing issues via phone and remote access to various hardware devices and software programs
  • Candidates with a related degree or college qualification will also be considered for this role.
  • Excellent telephone manner and friendly customer service.

This is a full time, permanent position working a shift pattern covering Monday to Friday 7am till 5.30pm plus some weekend/bank holiday cover is available during the year as overtime.
