MarkJames Search are working with a prestigious organisation, to recruit a Finance Systems Manager. Due to a recent implementation of a cloud-based ERP system, our client is looking to hire an experienced Finance system and process lead, to support their transformation journey by defining and delivering end to end process improvements. You will work collaboratively with Finance, Technology and Project Managers to design Finance processes.

Responsibilities of the Finance Systems Manager:

• Being accountable for monitoring the Finance processes, ensuring they adequately mitigate risks and maintain the controls and audit requirements, alongside creating/maintaining relevant process maps, procedures, and control documentations.
• Acting as SME for the systems supporting the finance processes, their integration, and being aware of the interdependencies with other core processes including non-Finance processes.
• Along with onshore/offshore technology teams, ensure systems are kept up to date with latest releases and meet ongoing business demands.
• Partnering with core process stakeholders across the business to define, prioritise and implement transformation and drive continuous improvement.
• Being the first point of contact for system related challenges and drive towards resolution.
• Supporting the Process Owners in influencing process improvements & where feasible with system changes.
• Play a dynamic role in the Oracle customer community forums to influence Oracles roadmap for future functionality.
• Ensuring the creation of project plans, communication plans and guide the delivery of transformation, proactively managing risk.

Key skills and experience required for the Finance Systems Manager role:

• Demonstrable system and programme transformation delivery/continuous improvement experience.
• Experience in Oracle Fusion Projects & Fixed Assets, with knowledge of core finance processes, controls, and best practices.
• Strong social, influencing and communication skills and ability to build relationships with demonstrable experience as an agent for change.
• Comfortable working under pressure in an environment of competing priorities.
• Ideally you will be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) but not essential.
