Job description



Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deploy predictive and ML models for conversion and retention (in Python, Emblem/Radar).
Manage pricing optimisation and predictive models, ensuring correct functionality, and maintain/update/replace them as needed.
Engage proactively with stakeholders to interpret and understand business requirements for pricing and data science solutions.
Write unit tests to ensure robust pipelines and continually evolve the testing strategy.
Upskill and collaborate with pricing, data, tech, and analytical communities in areas of best practice, coding standards, tooling, and solution design.
Design and develop new ML pricing applications and techniques for competitive differentiation.
Ensure adherence to data governance and policies in delivering high-quality analytics solutions.
Experience & Qualifications:

  • University degree in a numerate subject (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics).
  • Experience in driving commercial outcomes through data science solutions in production environments.
  • Substantial knowledge of Python and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, numpy).
  • Experience with Radar and Emblem is a plus.
  • Excellent SQL skills, including high-performance SQL queries.
  • Strong knowledge of applied statistics skills (statistical testing, propensity matching, statistical modeling, classification, etc.).
  • Solid exposure to machine learning and open-source tools (model development & implementation in production).
  • Experience with AWS, MS Azure would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry and pricing (advantageous but not essential).
