Job Title: Agile Business Analyst

Type: Contract (6 months), Full-time £500 Daily inside IR35

Overview:

My Client, a well known utilities company is seeking a skilled Agile Business Analyst to join their dynamic team and contribute to the improvement and automation of processes across multiple departments. This is a crucial role that requires a strong character, exceptional communication skills, and expertise in Agile practices, with proficiency in Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities:

  • Elicit, analyze, and validate stakeholder requirements, transforming them into detailed, actionable user stories.
  • Take ownership of the backlog, prioritising and refining work items to ensure clear definition and accurate estimation.
  • Conduct and facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and focus groups to gather comprehensive insights.
  • Lead process mapping and gap analysis exercises to identify areas for improvement or automation.
  • Work closely with the Scrum team, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Utilise Azure DevOps for documentation, management, and tracking of requirements within the Agile life cycle.
  • Serve as a crucial bridge between business and technical teams, fostering effective communication and a shared understanding of project objectives.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated prowess in business analysis, with a track record of successfully eliciting and documenting requirements for complex business and technology initiatives.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • In-depth experience with Azure Devon's for requirements tracking and facilitating collaboration in Agile settings.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to lead discussions and extract vital information from a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Proficient in various requirements gathering techniques, including user story mapping, business process modeling, data flow diagramming, process mapping, and gap analysis.
  • Experience in leading and contributing to Agile ceremonies, nurturing a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within teams.
