Distribution Manager

Our client is a global provider of reliable networking equipment and accessories, looking for a Distribution Account Manager to join their team in Utrecht.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing distributors to foster long-term partnerships and drive mutual growth.
- Provide ongoing support and training to distributors to enhance their sales capabilities and solution knowledge.
- Collaborate with distributors to develop and execute joint marketing plans and promotions to increase brand awareness and product adoption.
- Collaborate with distributors to generate customer and project leads and facilitate the conversion of these leads to a stage where they can be handed over to internal teams.
- Facilitate introductions between key accounts and distributors to drive sales opportunities.
- Monitor distributor performance, set targets, and provide guidance to improve sales effectiveness.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and adjust distribution strategies accordingly.
- Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product management, to ensure alignment and maximize overall business performance.
- Travel as required to meet with distributors, attend industry events, and participate in trade shows to promote our products and services.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and distribution, preferably within the IT/telecommunications sector.
- Proven success in managing distributor networks and achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective distribution strategies that drive business growth.
- Strong leadership qualities with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with commercial networking products including switches, access points, and enterprise routers.
- Knowledge of channel sales strategies and tactics.
- Familiarity with market dynamics in the IT/telecom industry.
- Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Associate) is desirable.
