Job description

Our client, a global enterprise technology company, based in Reading, is currently hiring for a Vendor Manager - Post-Sales to provide oversight, ongoing management, guidance and direction across the Third Party Vendor portfolio for assigned accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, understand and ensure compliance of vendor contractual commitments to maintain continuous alignment with customer contracted commitments.
  • Maintain vendor contract line of sight across portfolio to remove risk of expiry.
  • Explore opportunities throughout contract lifecycle to garner ongoing cost savings.
  • Implement corrective action plans to guide vendors exhibiting performance deficiencies.
  • Build inventory of customer assets (hardware and software) to monitor renewals thereby maintaining consistent, uninterrupted execution of support.
  • Expand spend visibility across customer base for use as a benchmarking/negotiation tool with vendors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Experience in data mining/analysis of operational and financial data in Excel.
  • Understanding of general contracting language.
  • Proven experience managing Third Party Vendors.
  • Experience with products and services provided in the Telecom/Networking industry.

This is a full time, contract position for an initial period of 18 months with the option to extend and/or become permanent (although this is not guaranteed).
