Treasury Finance Accountant
Job description
Our client, a Retail and Commercial Bank, based in London, are currently hiring for a Treasury Finance Accountant to provide accounting and administrative support to the Treasury Operations, Securitisation and Hedge Accounting teams within Treasury Finance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily and monthly accounting entries and reporting for Treasury instruments.
- Assist with monthly hedge accounting entries and reporting.
- Book-keeping and management accounts for current and future SPV's in accordance with accounting standards.
- Assistance in statutory reporting preparation.
- Ensuring process documents are kept up-to-date with any relevant changes on a regular basis.
- Project work in line with departmental activities.
- Ad-hoc duties to support the Treasury Finance team.
Requirements:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
- Knowledge of technical accounting and listed company reporting requirements.
- Broad and in depth understanding of securitisation accounting & treasury instruments and accounting.
- Proven understanding of the external reporting process within a listed financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of the principals of risk management and compliance.
- Proven knowledge of reporting/consolidations packages, i.e. Hyperion/TM1.
This is a full-time, contract position for an initial period of 12 months with the potential to extend and/or become permanent (although this is not guaranteed).
