Job description

Our client, a global enterprise technology company, based in Dublin, is currently hiring for a Sourcing Manager to control and manage one of the largest annual technology spends in the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead role in supporting cost savings and revenue generation business goals through the sourcing process for large spend category areas.
  • OSP/ISP Construction Engineering Sourcing background in the following areas a plus
  • Understanding of various methods of construction techniques utilised in the OSP/ISP field.
  • Knowledge of different types of technologies and advanced equipment at play in the current world.
  • Strong analytical skills required - process large amounts of and varying types of data to extrapolate favourable conclusions
  • Work with Business Partners to resolve supplier related business issues
  • Take a lead role and simultaneously work with and lead multiple teams to guide selections of low-cost and highly technically qualified Suppliers to provide needed services
  • Present new products, technologies and services from existing or new suppliers to clients

Requirements:

  • Experience of Sourcing / Commercial Management of ISP/OSP Telecommunications construction projects.
  • Experience in Strategic Sourcing, ideally in the technology areas such as Network Equipment and Infrastructure engineering construction.
  • Knowledge of Business Analytical approaches and applications.
  • Credentials from Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), International
  • Association for Contract Commercial Management (IACCM) or Irish Institute of Purchasing Materials Management (IIPMM)
  • Project Management in complex multi-project and multi-geography environment
  • Prior experience as a telecommunications installer and / or engineer
  • PMP or Prince 2 experience & Lean Six Sigma experience
  • Working knowledge of Ariba, Google Suite and Microsoft Suite applications (including PowerPoint, Excel and Word) - MS Access a plus

This is a full time, contract position for an initial period of 12 months with the option to extend and/or become permanent (although this is not guaranteed).
