Job description
Our client, a well-recognised business within the aviation sector, is currently hiring for a Senior Noise Strategy Manager. This is a key role in ensuring the business understands and can respond to the requirements set out by the Noise Action Plan (NAP) and the wider sustainability strategy. The role has a specific focus on technical work across the aviation noise agenda and is accountable for establishing the appropriate network of engagement/collaboration forums with airlines and communities to progress the NAP.
Responsibilities
- Acting as a technical expert on noise for colleagues in the sustainability team and wider business including in relation to impacts associated with airspace change or emerging technology. Where necessary seeking internal legal advice to establish and assert the client's position.
- Leading the drafting, public consultation & engagement, delivery, reporting and auditing of the NAP in accordance with the legislation and statutory guidance.
- Advising and supporting our operational business units to maintain compliance with all environmental noise and planning regulations and objectives.
- Working with the Head of Noise Strategy, to engage and gain support from internal and external stakeholders to improve our noise performance.
Requirements
- Extensive experience of environmental management generally and specifically aircraft noise.
- Good knowledge of aircraft operating procedures and airfield operations.
- Broad knowledge of current and future legislation, statutory requirements as well as detailed understanding of aircraft noise related legislation and regulation.
- Good interpersonal and communication, presentation and influencing skills with attention to detail and a passion for driving business change.
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday-Friday. This role is a hybrid role working 2/3 days from the office and 2/3 days from home.
