Our client, a global leader in Technology, Information & Internet are currently hiring a Business Analyst to support their global tax business and to help reconcile end-to-end customer-to-tax and customer-to-accounting process flows.
This role sits within a global Audit team which is supports Tax globally. This role will own support for a combination of geo-specific audits, and global business lines.
Engage with technology teams to understand how the applications work and business events, including customer orders, purchases, logistics, payments, advertisement and subscriptions flow through these applications.
Translate knowledge from these engagements into documentation including process mapping, sequence diagrams, data models and reconciliations.
Work with project management and technology teams to prioritise ad-hoc work in response to tax authorities and the broader program
Building documentation library of how business lines operate within Amazon
Responding to specific tax audits
Deliver documentation and data to meet the agreed goals
Must have experience in a tax, accounting or finance function, including to and open to consultants/data analysts.
Experience managing prioritization of their work and managing 'up'
Ability to work autonomously
Familiarity with accounting, tax and payments data
Experience in Risk Advisory function, Internal Audit, or Projects relating to DAC 7, DST, SOX, GRC, GDPR, IT Controls, Systems Audits
Experience of working in a Data team within an accounting function, with familiarity with bulk data for Trial Balances, Journal Entries, and sub-ledgers
This is a full time contract position working 40 hours per week for an initial 6 month period, extending to 12 and 18 months after review.
This is a hybrid working contract with the requirement to be in the London office 2 days consecutive days, 2 to 4 times per month.
This is a PAYE contract only and cannot be engaged as a Ltd company or self-employed contract basis.
