Sales Director
Job description
Our client, a leading Education Management Company, is currently hiring for a Software Sales Director. You will lead a team of 15+ Inside sales professionals (via 2 Managers) whose primary objective is to acquire new business for the software solutions across a geographic region or within a defined account base. You will own ambitious monthly and annual software product sales targets and lead your team to achieve and exceed these.
In addition, you will be apart of the leadership team and be expected to contribute to sales strategy, lead and implement business change/improvement and help create the culture.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of team revenue number.
- Meet sales targets and key performance indicators set by the business.
- Accurate sales and pipeline forecasting.
- Maintain headcount capable of delivering company objectives and revenue results.
- Working with sales management to develop and embed sales strategy, processes, best practice and culture.
- Critical evaluation and oversight of key Tenders, driving improved conversion rates.
- Assessment of skills and capabilities, identification of training needs.
- Performance management of non-performers (via Managers)
- Managing, developing and coaching top talent (via Managers)
- Long term planning.
Requirements
- SaaS Industry Experience.
- Evidence of extensive sales management success within an Inside Sales software sales environment, and particularly a proven track record in leading 1 or more Inside Sales teams to exceed strong new business sales targets.
- Evidence of developing, implementing and refining productivity metrics and other KPIs to ensure the right sales results within an Inside Sales team.
- Sets challenging goals to deliver business plans.
- Builds a culture where everyone has a clear understanding of the end goal and the steps to achieving it.
- A leader who inspires teams and manages effectively.
- Encourages teams to identify ways of working with other parts of the organisation to makes improvements and overcome silo mentality.
- Inspires by being an energetic leader demonstrating an optimistic and responsive approach.
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday-Friday. This will be a hybrid position working out of the Sheffield office.
