New Business Development Executive (replacement)
Job description
Our client, a leading MSP/MSSP is currently seeking a New Business Development Executive with the experience and desire to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment to expand the client base in the New York Metropolitan area (NY, CT, MA, and RI). We are looking for an individual who is a proven closer and has a track record of generating sales and is accustomed to earning commensurate with their sales skills, experience, and effort.
What We Need:
To facilitate and accelerate the aggressive growth that our client is experiencing we are seeking a New Business Development Executive with a technology sales background, that can create new opportunities and is experienced in selling into industries such as Financial Services, Biotech/Life Sciences, Professional Services, and Legal. The successful candidate will be a proven hunter responsible for managing the entire sales process from lead generation, qualification, presentation, contract negotiation and deal closure. In addition, the ideal candidate would have experience working for Managed Service/Managed Security, Cloud Hosting providers, or in a technology specific sales role.
What You'll Do:
- Responsibility for the entire sales process from prospecting, following up on new leads, meeting with prospective clients, qualifying opportunities, generating
proposals/contracts, negotiating, closing sales, and nurturing client relationships.
- Consultative approach to prospecting, qualifying and developing new relationships with businesses
- Prospect targeted accounts, Small Business owners, IT Directors, CTO's and CIO's; proactively penetrate the market to achieve and exceed sales quota.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of qualified business development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of these opportunities and business development activities.
- Lead customer discovery meetings to uncover and validate clients desired
outcomes and technology needs.
- Create and present sales proposals to decision makers. Negotiate sales terms, close sales opportunities and accurately complete all sales paperwork.
- Understand customer needs and requirements
- Overall relationship management and the ability to coordinate required resources to respond to complex IT requirements
- Ongoing training and manufacturer certifications
- Developing and maintain relationship with client and vendor contacts * Preparing detailed quotes and proposals
- Maintaining knowledge of our products, services, and the competitive landscape
- Travel within geographically defined sales region
