Job description

Our client, a global enterprise technology company, based in Warrington, is currently hiring for a CDM Officer to act as the Principal Contractor (PC) and Principal Designer (PD) for the program.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high level EHS support to ensure consistency in the direction and application of EHS regulatory requirements, policies and programs.
  • Review high level EHS documentation associated with role, duties and responsibilities under CDM (UK) and other applicable H&S legislation.
  • Review a sample of contractors EHS documentation e.g. RAMS, Safety Action Plans
  • Carry out site audits monitor compliance of the contractors activities with CDM and applicable Health and Safety legislation.
  • Follow up directly with the relevant party to ensure that any recommendations made are implemented to appropriate standards.
  • Maintain a log of the above issues that can be accessed by the wider team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health and Safety, or other relevant qualifications and work experience.
  • NEBOSH / IOSH certificate in health and safety if base qualification is not in health and safety (or a recognised Professional Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a H&S role preferably in a CDM, telecoms or consultant environment
  • Familiarity with current H&S laws, standards, practices, and procedures (including CDM) in the UK.


This is a full time, contract position for an initial period of 8 months with the option to extend and/or become permanent (although this is not guaranteed).

This role is Inside IR35. LTD companies cannot be engaged.

Project is estimated that 2-3 days per month would be sufficient to fulfil the requirements of the role (1 day document review, 1-2 days on site).
