Our client, a leader in the health care and well-being sector, is looking for a talented Agile Product Owner to join their team in Ireland. The position is temporary (up to 12 months) but could be extend for longer and/or become permanent (although this is not guaranteed).

The client is looking for an experienced Agile Product Owner with healthcare technology experience, to join the client's team. The team's objective is to be the enterprise front door for external clinical data ingestion, standardization, enrichment, and distribution. Where previously each destination systems had its own input stream, protocol, and format, the team is now unifying the intake process and enriching the data, storage it in Snowflake/Cosmos based on HL7/FHIR schemas, and then making it available to destination systems based on a 'data as a product' paradigm.

The platform is a streaming and batch processing platform using Java and Python with Kafka middleware. It is deployed via Kubernetes in Azure and on premises.

The candidate is also asked to fill SCRUM master and Release Train Engineer responsibilities and may be occasionally asked to cover Business Systems Analyst and / or Project Manager responsibilities.

The role also involves working closely with the Engineering leads, Architects, SCRUM teams, Product Managers, and Product Directors to ensure work is prioritized and features and user stories are groomed to maximize value delivery, productivity of the team, and ensure product objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities:

• Work with tech teams, business users, and business partners to understand requirements.

• Write user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Manage feature and user story backlog (groom features and user stories, prioritize features and user stories).

• Lead daily stand-up meeting.

• Lead SCRUM agile ceremonies for the team (story and feature acceptance, sprint planning, progress tracking, sprint retrospective).

• Determine dependencies and negotiate solutions.

Requirements:

• Experience as an agile product owner (2+ years).

• SAFE or scrum agile experience (1+ years).

• Experience in the healthcare sector (2+ years).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Product manager experience / product management methodology knowledge.

• Project management experience.

• Knowledge of and / or experience with SCRUM master and / or Release Train engineer. responsibilities (If a candidate with prior Optum experience, OSAM experience would be helpful).

• Experience with Rally (agile software) (1+ years).

• Experience with Aha! (Product road mapping tool).

• HL7 and / or FHIR experience.

• Extensive healthcare technology experience.

This role is temporary and full-time (Monday to Friday).
